Since 2014, Katasa focuses its business on the development and management of seven private retirement complexes.
The Katasa Group is also present in other spheres of the economy by managing five commercial rental buildings, two residential rental buildings, including a university residence, a mobile home rental park, and three lots in the planning stage for future residential development.
And the future looks promising as five more projects – Clemow, Somerset, Kent, Merivale, and Bronson – are underway in Ontario and Katasa is always on the lookout for new business opportunities.
“We want to increase our leadership in real estate by creating residential complexes that offer not only housing but a way of living. We are already asserting our presence in Quebec in the Outaouais region and the cities of Dorval, Pierrefonds, Granby, and Sorel-Tracy, and Ottawa in Ontario,” said the founder of Katasa, Sam Chowieri, more than 30 years ago.
As a leading entrepreneur, he has always surrounded himself with a strong and competent team that shares his vision of the company. And he doesn’t have to worry about the next generation because, since 2014, his daughters Katherine, Tanya, and Samantha Chowieri are active partners of the Katasa Group & Development and hold key positions.
“Our success is based first and foremost on the great work of a team of seasoned professionals. People with a strong heart I am particularly proud of,” concludes Mr. Chowieri.
